Sometimes your recorded video may not come out looking like what your eyes saw through the viewfinder. Below is an excellent example. The original video (on the left) was shot by Jon Greenwood on a dive in about 5 meters of water in the Red Sea. Because of the way light behaves under water, the image is saturated by the sunlight illuminating through water, overpowering the sunlight reflecting from the objects under the water. The video on the right is the same footage, color corrected in an editor, to restore the proper color balance.
